Something has been troubling me a lot these days: are we truely a secular country, or was it just a typo by the framers of our constitution. Something in me makes me believe it cannot be the latter one. After all it was framed in the days of Gandhi et al where people practised what they preached. Hence they must have meant every word of it. But are we still secular or are we just secu-liars. Gujarat proves that we are not. Mumbai riots prove that we are not. Babri Masjid proves that we are not. So why can’t we just drop off that word from our constitution. Or are we a nation of hypocrites who just want to bask in the glory of being the citizens of a secular country. Some things just have no answers
